DRIVER GUIDES
Driver guides are a vital part to the success of any tour, for this reason Tambuga Safaris drivers have an in-depth knowledge of routes, conditions and local attractions. Their game spotting abilities are phenomenal and are well versed in the identification of animals and birds. They each have an intimate understanding of the bush, and a devotion to the environment and are your key to understanding the beauty and complexities of this extra ordinary continent. They will take care of you, and also help you learn more about the world around you; the land, the wildlife, and the people.s culture.
Our guides adhere to strict code of ethics and are registered with the Kenya Association of Tour Guides, the recognized professional association setting the standards in field guiding in Kenya. They are dedicated professionals who are passionate about what they do.
TRANSPORT
We do our level best to make Traveling with Tambuga Safaris as comfortable as possible. We will transport you in specially modified safari vehicles which are adapted to the rugged African terrain. They have sliding windows, roof hatches and high ground clearance to improve all round visibility and photography. The most important requirements of a safari vehicle are comfort, professional maintenance and the ability to safari wherever it is required. Our sturdy 4WD vehicles can go virtually anywhere, an important feature when we are tracking game across the plains. There is no taking turns on who gets the window seats in our safari vehicles, since, every passenger is guaranteed a window seat. As a safety precaution Tambuga Safaris maintains a dedicated HF Radio network, which allows communication between all our vehicles.
When you prefer the speed and convenience of light aircraft, we do organize both schedule and charter flights to most of our destinations within East Africa. We also spice up our safaris with walking, camels, as well as horse-back safaris that will take you to the wildest spots on earth.
